A positive participation for us at TWT: during the Hanover event we were able to show current news and future projects to an interested audience of visitors and our partners.
According to official estimates, more than 90 thousand visitors from over 100 countries have visited this edition of Ligna. Over 40 thousand visitors from abroad: confirmation of the international appeal that the event has. For us Ligna remains an unavoidable appointment for many essential aspects and represents one of the most important exhibitions for our subsidiary in Germany.
However, Ligna has confirmed that fairs dedicated to plants, machines and tools for woodworking are increasingly concentrated on panel processing. The machines dedicated to the production of wooden frames represent a niche market. The most important business concerns the panel world: large numbers come from this sector.
The “Laser.S” and “TWT-Style” innovations catch the attention of visitors
At Ligna we were able to illustrate the fruits of a journey that began with the company merger in 2016. Among the innovations that catalyzed the attention of both visitors and our partners were:
- “Laser.S” the new fixing system that we are developing internally;
- “TWT-Style” window system: a new generation of wooden windows that aroused strong interest in design, high technical content and production advantages.
We cannot forget the NaDia coating, which is our workhorse for all those special processes where excellent finish and high durability are essential. A certain interest, finally, aroused the slow motion videos that highlighted the advantages of chip evacuation offered by our tooling solutions in progress.
Excellent feedback from the GlobalTools offer
Positive feedback from the new GlobalTools division, that is to say of a range of tools that can be applied in various fields: we are talking about a complete range of products such as HW circular sawblades, PCD tools, planer heads, drill bits, HW spiral bits, chucks HSK.
In this regard we have collected a certain number of orders from our major partners for Mistral Q, a new finishing tool with a single insert in PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) interchangeable and self-positioning, to be used on all the main edge-banding machines.
Thanks to GlobalTools, TWT does not look at a single sector, but tries to offer its customers a qualified partner who offers professional products both in the window and door sector.
In general this year’s edition did not propose any striking changes regarding the tool world. Rather, there was confirmation of an ongoing trend, that is, the proposal of tools capable of guaranteeing a high processing speed.
TWT has followed and will only partially follow this trend: the evolution of the tool, which we will probably present in 2020, will aim to satisfy other needs that we consider more important. Our goal is to offer the market a tool that nobody has at the moment and that nobody has yet proposed.
