Laser.S: the future takes shape
Laser.S by TWT had its debut in February 2020 at the Eurobois in Lyon. It is a new concept tool that embodies the know-how of Zuani, Rekord and Garniga.
Some of its features are:
- New cutting geometries, specifically designed to achieve better surface finishing with any kind of machining process (item 1);
- Axial self-positioning system on standard and shaped knives;
- Innovative wedge system with ‘Spoiler’that ensures better chip evacuation (item 2);
- Reduction in the accumulation of resins thanks to milling bodies kept clean by unnecessary exhausts;
- Built-in cylindrical Widia insert with radial frontal fastening: many machining passes performed by a single insert (item 3);
- Self-centring positioning system and simplified replacement of the Foil RS insert thanks to the wedge-controlled ‘expulsion’ system;
- Lower noise and annulment of all mechanical tolerance on the inserts.
