Garniga Srl, a company specialized in the design and production of cutting tools for wood, was founded in 1965.
Garniga was the first company in the world to introduce mechanical fastening of the cutting edge, thereby introducing an innovative concept, advanced technology and absolute mechanical precision to the industry.
Attention to the customer is another main factor that determined the constant quality of the products and the growth of the company over the years.
To understand the great evolution brought by Garniga to the cutting tools sector, it is important to understand the context of the 1960’s.
Those were the days of brazed tools that made sharpening very difficult. As early as 1965, tools with mechanical fastening of the insert were being produced, which at that time was accepted with some reluctance due to the overly advanced design.
Garniga’s technological progress therefore met the requirements for vast and technologically advanced evolution, where newly designed operating machines were required and used.
With the development of building construction and the resulting increased demand for windows and doors, new innovative concepts were applied, especially in the programming of cutting tools.
At the same time, Garniga’s technical department kept on designing and experimenting through continuous research, proposing increasing innovations that progressively gave way to high technical levels of production, offering window and door manufacturers new production systems.
Garniga was the first company in Europe to homologate series of windows and doors, experimenting in its own laboratories several types of windows and doors such as the 7000÷4000 SERIES, the FUTURO SERIES, the EUROPA SERIES, and so on.
This goal was achieved by using gaskets when in Italy the law for the containment of energy consumption was not yet in force.
With the advent of computers, Garniga placed itself at the forefront in conceiving cutting tools that were perfectly suited for industrial automation applications.
The applications conducted by the leading Italian machine manufacturers took the various foreign competitors by surprise, thereby setting Garniga among the leaders of the sector in Europe.
All this was made possible thanks to the window and door manufacturers who at the time chose to prefer the new tools and always placed the utmost trust in Garniga.
The company, with increasingly flattering results, over the years has built cutting tools that have become the most on-demand products on the market thanks to their advanced construction concept and ease of use.
The evolution in the cutting tools sector continued in the 2000’s when Garniga Srl introduced a new range of tools that used the new and revolutionary UNIFIX system characterized by a simple yet effective component: a magnet.
The revolution of the sector is still ongoing today in TWT, a company that has united Garniga’s experience, know-how and concreteness under one single name in order to provide complete, innovative and next-generation solutions in the cutting tools and precision tools sector.
