Systems for wood-aluminium windows

The IV68HolzAlu Gutmann Mira-TWT wood-aluminium window system is only 68 mm thick. The overall width of the frame is 110 mm at the double rebate point. With this system, the manufacturer can produce a complete window with a 68×68 mm wood cross-section. Frames, sashes, rails or stiles – all components can be machined to a thickness of 68 mm. The system allows for all common types of openings.

Advantages and distinguishing features of the system

  • Economical and rational system.
With a constant thickness of 68 mm for all components (frame, sash, rails and stiles), the system allows for significant saving of resources because it can be worked from a rough wood panel 76 mm wide.
  • Optimized thermal transmittance value.
Thanks to the improved rebate geometry and the larger glazed area, the system ensures Uw thermal transmittance values that meet current energy-saving requirements.
  • Ideal profile geometry for glass bonding.
Ideal profile geometry for glass bonding, indifferently on the side or on the base of the rebate. This means that even large elements can be produced without any problems. The system is designed to achieve a RC2 resistance rating.
  • Modern design.
The system aims at essential aesthetics, pursuing those pure lines much sought after by architects.
  • Modular System.
The new sash geometry is also designed for the frame sealing systems. The sash width is reduced by 4 mm compared to the current system.
