The company has always been sensitive to this issue and, in addition to joining the ‘Rovereto Città a Impatto Positivo’ (Rovereto, a City with a Positive Impact) project, it has worked with a specialised company to analyse its ESG performance and draw up a sustainable development plan.
Sustainability today is a crucial concept for the business world because it entails the ability to produce and make profit in a responsible manner, i.e., by considering the social, environmental and economic impact of a business activity.
The word ‘sustainable’ comes from the Latin term ‘sustinere’ which means to sustain, defend, foster, preserve and/or care for. Sustainability, therefore, implies that a company can continue to operate indefinitely without causing damage to the environment or to other stakeholders.
In other words, it means adopting practices and strategies that allow business needs to be met without compromising those of future generations.
The benefits of sustainability

In a market that is becoming increasingly aware of environmental and social issues, companies that demonstrate an actual and genuine commitment to sustainability are seen as responsible and more trustworthy, resulting in a clear improvement in corporate image and brand.
A project for the future
“The company is sensitive to this issue”, emphasises Filippo Pellitteri, TWT’s CEO, “and this is why we decided to work with a specialised consultancy firm, the Atlante Group of Curtatone (MN), to carry out an analysis of TWT’s ESG (Environmental – Social – Governance) performance as a first step towards drawing up a road map of priority actions”.
The objective? To reduce its environmental impact, develop the use of renewable energies, focus on efficient resource management and adopt eco-friendly production processes.
Involvement with the community

It was emphasised that sustainability is not only about environmental and economic impact but also about social impact.
Recently, TWT enthusiastically joined the ‘Rovereto Città a Impatto Positivo’ (Rovereto, a City with a Positive Impact) project, becoming an Ambassador for the Positive Impact on Society and the Environment.
The “Città a Impatto Positivo” project was created to support the creation and management of socially useful initiatives and services via the construction of a solid network between companies, organisations and people who decide to work together with a single common objective: the improvement of the lives of all citizens, especially of the most fragile.
Thanks to this initiative, important projects have been implemented in the Rovereto area:
- purchase of a vehicle fitted for the transport of people with disabilities, made available to the ‘Cooperativa Il Ponte’, now called ‘Impronte’;
- installation of a defibrillator at the Fabio Filzi High School;
- planting of trees in various areas of the city;
- promotion of awareness-raising activities on issues of social responsibility, the environment and inclusion.
“Investing in sustainability“, concludes Filippo Pellitteri, “in my opinion is a strategic lever for the future. It means building a more resilient and prosperous tomorrow, both for the company and for the entire community”.
